Will I be able to pause or stop the film at any time?

The film can be paused, and skipped as with any other streaming VOD platform. You may stop the film and resume however you must finish watching the film within its availability window. The standard availability window is 48 hours.

Do I have to request the films or events I'd like to access?

When you enter TIFF Digital Cinema Pro you will see a list of titles that are available and when you can watch them. Press will also automatically receive invitations to online events and do not need to RSVP.

Are all films geo-blocked?

Some films can only be watched in Canada while some are not geo-blocked at all. It will be noted on the film’s detail page on TIFF Digital Cinema Pro where you can watch a film.

How long are films available?

Films are released on a schedule and available for a limited time. Most films are available for 48 hours and new titles are added to TIFF Digital Cinema Pro at 11am EDT for Official Selections and 12pm EDT for TIFF Industry Selects and Market Screenings. You can watch a film more than once within this time.

Can I watch films on my smart TV/iPad?

Yes. Besides screen-mirroring your computer to your television or connecting your laptop to your television with an HDMI cable, we have apps available for iOS and Android devices, as well as Chromecast and Apple TV. Search for TIFF Digital Cinema Pro.

You can Chromecast from a Chrome web browser on an Android TV, or use AirPlay to watch on your Apple TV. You can also use an HDMI cable to connect your laptop to your TV.

What is the capacity for each digital P&I screening?

This year, digital Press & Industry screenings will take place on our dedicated platform, TIFF Digital Cinema Pro. Films will be available to industry delegates at capacities comparable to — and, in some cases, greater than — in-person screenings from previous years.

You can do this on digitalpro.tiff.net by clicking “Forgot Password” in the login. or by contacting the TIFF Call Centre by phone (416-599-2033) or email (customerrelations@tiff.net).
