Volunteer for the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival
We would like to officially invite you to return as a Volunteer for this year’s Festival, which runs September 7–17, 2023!
Please note that, as a returning TIFF Volunteer, you are not required to reapply via our online application form. Please take the time to read this information and follow the steps carefully. You will need to follow all required steps below in order to confirm your interest.
Online orientation:
Once again for 2023, we will be offering Festival orientation online, giving you access from the comfort of your home or office so you can save a trip to TIFF Bell Lightbox. Please note that dates for online orientation are still being finalized, but will be available in July. In-person orientation options are available if you are not able to complete online orientation; however, we strongly encourage everyone who is able to complete the orientation online to do so.
Volunteers must select which orientation option they would like to complete for the year. Details on doing so can be found below. You must choose one of the two options at this time.
To indicate your interest in volunteering for the 2023 Festival, please follow these instructions:
- Log in to the Volunteer Hub. If you do not have your login information, please email volunteers@tiff.net to have it sent to you.
- When signed in, click on the arrow in the top right corner of the Home tab, then click ‘Profile’.
- Ensure that your contact information is correct so we know the best way to contact you. If it is not accurate, please email your updated information to volunteers@tiff.net
- Scroll down to More About Me and indicate what size t-shirt you would like and click Save.
- Scroll down to Years of Service and indicate how many Festivals you have volunteered for in the past (please do not include the 2023 Festival or any TIFF Kids or TIFF Next Wave festivals) and click Save.
- Please indicate your Place of Employment (optional) and click Save.
- Scroll down to Toronto International Film Festival 2023. Check off “Yes — Online orientation!” OR “Yes — In-person (I am not able to complete orientation online).” Click Save.
- Update your Availability for Festival and click Save. Please complete this step, as your availability will help us ensure whether your Volunteer position preferences (selected after your orientation) are a suitable match for you.
Deadline:
The deadline to indicate your interest in volunteering for the 2023 Festival is Thursday, June 8. We cannot guarantee a spot after this date.
Next Steps:
After the deadline to indicate your interest, you will receive an email providing you with further instructions regarding orientation. Completion of orientation is mandatory for all Volunteers, both new and returning.
