Toronto and Berlin — Today in Berlin, TIFF announced seven global entertainment industry leaders as members of its newly-created global Advisory Committee for the TIFF Content Market launching in 2026. Comprised of leaders from organizations across the sector, the Advisory Committee will provide valuable feedback and insights for the highly-anticipated addition to TIFF. The first group of committee members are Niv Fichman, Vincent Maraval, Jérôme Paillard, Noah Segal, Monique Simard, Roeg Sutherland, and Kerry Swanson, with additional members to be announced in the coming weeks.

The new initiative, funded by the Government of Canada with a landmark $23M CAD investment and supported by Telefilm Canada, will expand TIFF’s scope of offerings and reinforce its role as a global entertainment industry leader in screen-based storytelling while fostering sustainable growth for the industry worldwide. Aligned with the Festival, the TIFF Content Market will be a North American gateway for buying and selling screen-based projects, intellectual property, immersive and innovative content across all platforms, elevating Canadian and international talent while driving global distribution and sales.

“As TIFF marks its 50th edition this year, we are looking ahead to the next 50 years with a bold vision for expanding our commitment to the global screen industry. The TIFF Content Market is the natural evolution of an organization that has played an integral role in bringing visibility to some of the best Canadian and international films and series over the past five decades,” said Anita Lee, Chief Programming Officer, TIFF. “The guidance of the deeply-respected members of this international Advisory Committee will be the key to bringing to life this ambitious initiative that will cement Toronto as the place for buying and selling.”
