Make It Fashion

Drawn from the catwalks of fashion’s most lauded houses as well as the independent designers who defined DIY aesthetics, Make it Fashion celebrates nearly a century of fashion history through film. From Audrey Hepburn’s iconic collaborations with Givenchy, to Prada channelled through Baz Luhrmann, to Manolo Blahnik’s interpretations of Le Grand Siècle footwear in Marie Antoinette, the fashion runway and cinema co-exist as one of the visual arts’ most mutually beneficial relationships. Special events include In Conversation With… Ruth E. Carter, moderated by Suzanne Boyd, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Zoomer Magazine, plus an Opening Night Runway Show and an exclusive atrium exhibition hosted in partnership by Fashion Art Toronto.

Showtimes will be announced November 23. Tickets on sale November 23 for TIFF Members and November 30 for the public.
