  • TIFF Fan Zone South
  • Rogers Beyond the Seat - Red Carpet Experience

  • The House of Peroni Fan Zone

Please note: Only the TIFF fan zones will use the Fan Zone Entry Process as listed below. Rogers, Peroni, and RBC Fan Zones may operate differently and entry may be limited. Please visit them for more information.

Fan Zone Entry Process
Here are the steps to secure a spot in the Fan Zones.

Instructions:

  • Fan Zone tickets can be acquired through the TIFF Ticketmaster site(open in new tab)open_in_new. Fan Zone tickets are free but need to be “claimed” through Ticketmaster similar to purchasing a regular ticket for a film. Tickets are digital and will be issued in the form of a QR code that needs to be presented to redeem the ticket and gain access to the fan zone. Tickets will be released daily at 12:00 PM noon for the following day, and sales will close at 6:00 AM the day of the event, or whenever capacity of the Fan Zone is reached.
Please note: There is a limit of 1 ticket per person per Fan Zone. Fan Zone tickets are non-transferrable. Some red carpet time slots overlap - to ensure every fan gets their moment in the spotlight, please only claim a ticket for the Fan Zones you plan to attend.

  • Ticketholders: Fan Zone access opens 2 hours prior to each screening. At this point, fans who have already claimed tickets will be let into the Fan Zone, and all bags will be checked upon entry.

  • Rush Line: A rush line will be available for festival attendees who do not have fan zone tickets. Once ticketholders have been admitted to the Fan Zone, individuals in the rush line will be admitted based on how many tickets were remaining at the time the Fan Zone went off-sale, if any. This will occur approximately two hours prior to the screening start time.

  • One hour prior to the screening, ticketholders are no longer guaranteed reserved access, and the remaining capacity will be filled with rush patrons on a first-come, first-served basis until the Fan Zone reaches capacity.

  • Approximately 20 minutes before a screening starts, Fan Zone access will close for that particular red carpet.

Accessibility

Most of our Fan Zones are standing room only on level ground and outside without much protection from the weather, so plan accordingly.

The North Fan Zone on DPS is partially covered by a tent providing some shade.

The South Fan Zone on DPS has some bleacher seating for those who want a good view but do not want to be in the middle of the action.

All of our Fan Zones are wheelchair accessible and we provide ramps for access to the King Street Fan Zones.

How can I watch the red carpet appearances?

TIFF has dedicated Fan Zones along King Street and on David Pecaut Square that allow members of the public to watch red carpet appearances at the Visa Screening Room at the Princess of Wales Theatre, Royal Alexandra Theatre and Roy Thomson Hall.

What do I need to enter a Fan Zone?

Fan Zone tickets can be acquired through Ticketmaster.

Fans who have not acquired a ticket in advance can join the rush line at the Fan Zone of the red carpet they would like to attend.

Is there a Fan Zone Rush Line?

A rush line will be available for festival attendees who have not secured a Fan Zone ticket in advance.

Once ticketholders have been admitted to the Fan Zone, individuals in the rush line will be admitted based on how many tickets were remaining at the time the Fan Zone went off-sale, if any. This will occur approximately two hours prior to the screening start time.

One hour prior to the screening, ticketholders are no longer guaranteed reserved access, and the remaining capacity will be filled with rush patrons on a first-come, first-served basis until the Fan Zone reaches capacity.

Please note that being in a rush line does not guarantee access.

What time do Fan Zones open?

Fan Zones open two hours prior to the start time of a screening. Ticketholder access begins at this time, and extends until one hour prior to the screening. One hour prior to the screening, access to ticketholders is no longer guaranteed, and the remaining capacity will be filled with rush line patrons.

What if I have a Fan Zone ticket but I am late?

Any ticketholders who do not arrive at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled screening time will forfeit their tickets and will need to join the rush line.

Can I bring in a backpack or bag?

Backpacks are not allowed in Fan Zones. Smaller items like purses, tote bags and fanny packs are permitted. Please check the list of allowed and prohibited items for more details.

Am I guaranteed a spot in the Fan Zone?

Fan Zones have limited capacity and specific timings for when fans can enter. Access is not guaranteed.

Fan Zone ticketholders who arrive at least 1 hour before the scheduled screening time will be let into the fan zone.

Ticketholders who do not arrive at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled screening time will join the rush line.

Additionally, TIFF cannot guarantee that any specific individual will appear on the Red Carpet.
