II. Vote verification
We have taken a number of steps to ensure the votes recorded are legitimate and secure. These steps include:
- Ensuring that an individual cannot vote for the same film multiple times using the same email address. (Note: individuals can vote for as many different films as they like.)
- Validating votes against TIFF ticket-buyer information based on email address.
- Analyzing geographic location of votes against voters' IP addresses.
- Comparing vote count to viewing audience.
III. Vote eligibility
Voting for the TIFF People's Choice Award is open from September 5 at 12pm EST to September 15 at 4am EST.
