The visionary director of the fantastically influential anime hit Ghost in the Shell joins us for this rare onstage interview to discuss his long and multifaceted career in animation, live action, television, film, radio and manga.

Anime visionary Mamoru Oshii was born in Tokyo and has worked extensively in animation for television and film for over twenty years. His unique body of work includes Patlabor: The Movie (90), Stray Dog: Kerberos Panzer Cops (91), Ghost in the Shell (95), Avalon (01), Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (04), nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes, Tachigui: The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters (06), and The Sky Crawlers (08), which was nominated for the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and an Official Selection of the Toronto International Film Festival.
