Just for Cats: Internet Cat Video Festival
Yes, you read that right: co-presented with the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies, the first-ever festival devoted to the best in cat-themed YouTube videos makes its Toronto debut at TIFF Bell Lightbox — with a red carpet and bona fide felines in attendance!
Due to popular demand, we've added an additional screening on April 17 at 9pm. Tickets on sale Wednesday, March 26 at 10am.
Hosted Magali Simard, Film Programmes Manager at TIFF Bell Lightbox, Just for Cats offers audiences a unique and fun opportunity to join fellow cat lovers in LOLing, crying, and aww-ing their way through old and new favourites. Some video highlights include stalking cat, nyan cat, kittens inspired by kittens, Lil BUB, Grumpy Cat, keyboard cat, and NONONONO cat.
Laureen Harper, cat foster-mom and volunteer for Humane Societies across the country, introduces our 7:30pm screening.
Prior to each screening, the Toronto Humane Society will host a red-carpet cat adopt-a-thon in the atrium of TIFF Bell Lightbox. Please note: There will be cats present in a contained area of the atrium from 6pm to 7pm during the adopt-a-thon. There will be no cats present inside the cinemas.
This screening is eligible for our Rush policy. Please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening. If the event goes Off Sale, we will sell tickets to the Rush line 10 minutes before the start of the screening.
