Work/life balance: TIFF operates 365 days a year, and we build flexible work schedules for our staff to accommodate the evening/weekend programming and events taking place in the building.
Professional development: TIFF staff have the opportunity to engage in a range of professional development opportunities, including mentorship and skill development programmes, expert training sessions, and special staff bursaries that offer international festival exposure in order to benefit our organization.
Community: Our active Social Squad hosts many events for the TIFF community throughout the year, from pizza parties and holiday-themed celebrations to sporting events and more.

TIFF’s Internship Programme provides students, recent graduates, and anyone looking to jump-start their career in the arts and culture sector with robust educational and professional development opportunities, setting them up for success at TIFF and beyond. With opportunities in various departments, participants in the programme will meet and work alongside key players inside the organization who are committed to advancing TIFF's mission.
Our internships and co-op placements feature individual progress check-ins, informational interviews with TIFF staff, and skills development sessions to further your learning and understanding of your own career path. As a perk, Interns and co-op students at TIFF also get a free ticket per film in our regular programming at TIFF Lightbox.

Toronto is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world — we welcome new immigrants from around the globe daily and have a population of around 2.8 million people, who collectively speak over 200 different languages. TIFF is proud to reflect Toronto’s dynamic community both in our programming and our workforce.
Our mission is to transform the way people see the world through film, as we endeavour to inspire audiences to express themselves, their cultural perspectives, and their sense of being through the shared experience of the moving image.
TIFF is committed to treating all peoples with respect, dignity, and fairness. We welcome job applicants, staff members, and audience members of all backgrounds, including race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, ability, citizenship, creed, sex, sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, same-sex partnership, age, marital status, family status, immigration status, receipt of public assistance, history of mental health issues, health status, political affiliation, learning difference, level of literacy, accent, first language, body type, physical appearance and abilities, stature, or socioeconomic status. We are dedicated to accessible employment practices and pride ourselves on being an equal-opportunity employer.
TIFF is not complacent about its progress to date, and recognizes that there is more work to be done to achieve diversity in all of its activities. Our ongoing dialogue with both internal and external stakeholders and communities continues to help us embrace this challenge and better position ourselves as leaders in diversity and inclusion.
