A Quebec doctor discovers the heartbreaking absurdity of life in the divided West Bank, in this intense, politically charged drama from the producers of the Academy Award®–nominated Incendies and Monsieur Lazhar.
Produced by the team behind the Academy Award®–nominated Incendies and Monsieur Lazhar, Inch'Allah (Arabic for "God willing") is an intense, politically charged drama that explores the impact and ramifications of Israel's separation wall on the divided populations of the West Bank. Quebec doctor Chloé (Evelyne Brochu) works in a women's health clinic on the Palestinian side of the barrier while living in an apartment on the Israeli side, her relative freedom of movement both affording her a unique perspective on this bisected world and highlighting her status as an outsider. When she becomes close to one of her patients, an impoverished young pregnant woman named Rand (Sabrina Ouazani) whose family is fiercely committed to the cause of Palestinian liberation, Chloé is brought dangerously close to the everyday absurdity and heartbreaking tragedy of the West Bank — and is forced to make a choice that will have enormous repercussions.
