When the beautiful Mari moves in across the street from Yolanda, they become the best of friends. But the nature of that relationship could hold something different and deeper than expected.

Yolanda is instantly intrigued when the beautiful and rebellious Mari moves in across the street. Paired up in math class, the two fifteen-year-old girls become fast friends, cheerfully exploring abandoned junkyards and city streets together when not studying for finals. But as they come to question the nature of their feelings for one another, the girls are overcome by the things they can't say out loud.

A tender film about expectations, insecurity, tenacity and responsibility, Mosquita Y Mari thoughtfully explores the complicated nature of teen relationships and the seeming impossibility of pleasing yourself before everyone else.
