Julie Anderson is the Executive Producer, Documentaries & Development for THIRTEEN. She is responsible for developing documentary limited series, occasional single documentaries and is also charged with creating new programming ideas. Prior to WNET, Anderson served as a producer for HBO Documentary Films. She was nominated for a 2012 Academy Award for her short documentary film, God is the Bigger Elvis. Prior to her work at HBO, Anderson served as Creator, Executive Producer, Program Development for CNN’s iReport Film Festival, CNN’s first online film festival. She also worked as Co-creator, Executive Producer for ESPN’s 60-minute magazine series, E:60. Anderson also served as a producer and director for HBO Sports and as an Executive Producer at ESPN. Anderson has received four Emmy Awards and two Peabody Awards.
