The content creation landscape continues to face disruption and redefinition, resulting in new ways of integrating story, brand and audience. As narrative and technology boundaries melt, what’s at stake for the many facets of the creative process? This panel will discuss how the collaborative effort, immersive media and engagement strategy intersect with story and ideation to form a successful transmedia experience.
- Richard Lachman
Assistant Professor of Digital Media in the School of Radio and Television Arts, Ryerson University (MODERATOR)
Richard Lachman is a Gemini Award-winning producer who has worked with Discovery Channel Canada, CTV and CityTV. His work in the computer games industry has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today and Time Magazine, and been exhibited at the American Museum of the Moving Image. Richard teaches classes in digital media, interactive art, animation, digital documentary, virtual environments and digital culture, and is a creative and technical consultant for new media projects. He is a Computer Science graduate from MIT, holds a master's degree from the MIT Media Lab's "Interactive Cinema" group, and is completing a doctorate in Computer Science at the University of New England in Australia.
- Victoria Evans
Producer, Independent Consultant, and Educator
With over a decade of media experience, Victoria's career originally stemmed from traditional media covering a multiple range of production disciplines to extensively producing digital interactive content. From 2008 to 2012, Victoria was a Producer & Business Partner at Stitch Media Inc. where her role included the responsibility of producing several award winning productions. Since January 2013, Victoria is a part-time instructor at Centennial College's School of Communications, Media & Design with the department of Integrated Media. She instructs in the post-graduate program in Industry Awareness, Studio Mentorship & Career Development.Victoria is also an independent consultant where she is currently a regular contributor of CMF's InnovaTV.ca, she is in development of a social platform based narrative, and she has recently produced a digital pilot program. Her producing knowledge encompasses funding, as she's been an evaluator at the Bell Broadcast & New Media Fund, and as a Digital Analyst at Telefilm's Canada Media Fund.

Managing Director, Pure Grass Films
Ben Grass is CEO of Pure Grass Films, a production company partly owned by Christophe Charlier, Chairman of the Brooklyn Nets NBA Basketball team. Select Pure Grass Films production credits include Kirill, which won a Webby for best drama series, and Beyond the Rave, which was MySpace's first series outside the US. Pure Grass Films are currently producing a feature film with Redbull called Twist and are producing television series with Tim Kring and Stephen Hawking. Ben previously headed Sony Pictures Digital Division in Europe and prior to that was Senior Advisor, Corporate Strategy at the BBC.

Video Game High School, his flagship web series, gained over 50 million cumulative views over 12, 15-minute episodes in 2012. Video Game High School 2 retuned the YouTube viewership trend by receiving over a 90% completion rate on 6 episodes of 30-minute content.
