HOME is a heritage programme developed by TIFF and the King and John Festival Corporation to tell the stories of the people, communities and organizations that have lived at King and John since Toronto’s emergence as a city. The City of Toronto’s Archaeological Management Plan required that an archaeological assessment be completed for this property as a condition of development approval. Drawn upon the archaeological findings and objects and artifacts recovered, the first story revealed was the origin of Toronto’s first civilian hospital. HOME includes a permanent display of artifacts with interpretive panels in the Canadian Film Gallery at TIFF Bell Lightbox.
