Lisa feels constantly pressured by her mother to be a perfect violinist. When a much-anticipated audition brings the tension between the two to a head, Lisa is forced to decide whose dreams she is going to follow: her mother's, or her own?

Director Biography: Dorothy Pranolo
Dorothy Pranolo is a filmmaker, production designer, and editor. She received a bachelor of arts in Communication and Film Theory from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and completed her diploma of Screen & Media from the Sydney Film School in 2011. She is currently based in New York City, where she works for the Museum of Modern Art as a freelance editor and production assistant. Push & Pull (13) marks her directorial debut.
