Diana Sanchez

Latin American, Spain, Portugal

Programming for the Festival since:

Desert-island films:
The Rules of the Game
The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie
Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown
Ghost Graduation
Berlin Alexanderplatz

Your favourite Festival programmer who is not you:
Giovanna Fulvi. We started programming together in 2002 and have each year talked about the process, the films, the note writing, and the whole programming experience. I go to her when I’m unsure about a film. And to find out what to see from Asia—she's brilliant!

The strangest place you’ve ever watched a film:
On a desert island.

What do you do for the rest of the year when you aren’t programming for the Festival?
Artistic Director for IFF Panama, and other programming activities. So really, I’m never off the clock!
