Coordinator, Industry Programming
This will be an exciting year for TIFF as we present unique programming in our new home and the world's premiere centre for film, TIFF Bell Lightbox. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to be part of a new era in Toronto's cultural history.
Reporting to the Industry Project Manager, the Coordinator, Industry Programming will coordinate all aspects of the pre-production and production of all year-round Industry Programming.
Responsibilities •Liaise with all TIFF Bell Lightbox departments involved in the implementation of the industry year-round programme •Update, maintain and pull information from database system •Deliver reports and surveys to the Industry Project Manager, Sales & Industry Office, in a timely manner •Coordinate the creation of content and copy •Liaise with external partners regarding production of the year-round talent development programme •Assist Industry Project Manager in yearly planning of all aspects of the industry year-round programme •Coordinate Producer’s Bootcamp at TIFF 2012 •Coordinate selection process for participants •Coordinate application and production of all activities programmed (workshops, etc.) •Develop and monitor the activation of online content regarding industry programming •Liaise with invited Canadian and international guest speakers •Assist Industry Project Manager in creating and implementing measurables for all industry events •Organize schedules and special events (dinners, cocktail receptions), including those of guest speakers •Coordinate drivers •Interview and supervise volunteers
Contract Dates: July 3rd, 2012 - June 18th, 2013
Minimum Requirements•Strong interest in film •Extended experience with database systems (on-line and off-line) •Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe) •Experience using online surveys, Google docs and mass mailing systems •Previous experience coordinating large scale projects •Exceptional work ethic •Confidentiality and respect for sensitive information •Strong professional communication (verbal and written) and client relationship skills •Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail •Adaptable to a flexible schedule including evening and weekends
