Announces a 2 DAY THEATRE OPERATIONS JOBS FAIR, to recruit new:

FRONT OF HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES (MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE)

The Theatre Operations’ Front of House staff are the public face of the organization, providing information and outstanding customer service for the Toronto International Film Festival at our multiple venues.

The Front of House team plays a vital role in ensuring visitors to the Festival are well looked after. Front of House Representatives and Assistants welcome visitors, provide information, manage line-ups and ensure the quick and safe movement of large groups of people inside and outside theatres for TIFF screenings and events.  These roles require individuals with the ability to multi-task and think on their feet, a friendly approachable attitude and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

The Theatre Operations Recruitment Fair will take place from July 21-22, 2012 at TIFF Bell Lightbox, Reitman Square, 350 King Street West.

DAY 1 -- Saturday, July 21, 2012 – 10:00am – 5:00pm
DAY 2 -- Sunday, July 22, 2012 – 10:00am – 5:00pm

Recruitment sessions are by appointment only. Spots are limited and will be filled in advance. Interviews will take place on-site after an introductory presentation.  Only candidates selected for an interview will be offered a spot.  

Contract Dates: August 18 – September 17, 2012

Minimum Requirements

•Previous customer service/ front of house experience
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent problem solving skills, with an ability to maintain tact and diplomacy in difficult situations
•Comfortable working in a hectic, fast-paced environment
•Proven time/priority management skills, and ability to meet shifting demands
•Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
•Positive attitude
•Able to work calmly under pressure
•Driven by team success, while understanding individual accountability
•Previous experience managing staff and working with volunteers is an asset
