TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is accepting
applications for the contract position of:

Coordinator, TIFF Rising Stars & Talent Lab

This will be an exciting year for TIFF as we present unique programming in our new home and the world's premiere centre for film, TIFF Bell Lightbox.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to be part of a new era in Toronto's cultural history.

Reporting to the Industry Programming Manager, the Coordinator, TIFF Rising Stars & Talent Lab, will be responsible for the execution of talent development programmes at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate selection process and production of TIFF Rising Stars
• Liaise with applicants and selected participants for TIFF Rising Stars
• Organize schedules and special events for TIFF Rising Stars (workshop sessions, dinners, cocktail reception)
• Coordinate production of TIFF Rising Stars brochure
• Assist with selection process and production of Talent Lab
• Liaise with invited Talent Lab guest speakers, organize schedules and coordinate drivers
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners regarding production of talent development programmes

Contract Dates: July 2 to September 16, 2012  

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in the Canadian and international film industries.
• Strong familiarity with domestic and international filmmakers.
• Exceptionally strong administrative and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in live event production a definite asset.
• Quick thinker, good judgment and excellent multi-tasker.
• Exceptional computer skills, with significant experience with Microsoft Office Suite (word and excel)
• Previous experience with large databases an asset.
• Previous supervisory experience considered an asset.
• Knowledge of other languages a definite asset.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
