Assistant, Industry Programming
This will be an exciting year for TIFF as we present unique programming in our new home and the world's premiere centre for film, TIFF Bell Lightbox. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to be part of a new era in Toronto's cultural history.
Reporting to the Industry Programmer, the Assistant, Industry Programming, will assist in the execution of Industry events including but not limited to Programming at Filmmakers’ Lounge, Producers Lab Toronto, Talent Lab and other Industry-related activities during the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.
Responsibilities • Assist with production of panel discussions at Filmmakers’ Lounge • Assist with production of Filmmaker Boot Camp • Assist with production of Filmmakers’ Lounge and other Industry initiatives • Assist with production of Producers Lab Toronto • Responsible for Short Cuts Connections, in conjunction with Short Cuts Canada programmers • Responsible for creating detailed and comprehensive database records for Industry Programming in Artifax Database
Contract Dates: June 25 to September 21, 2012
Minimum Requirements• Exceptionally strong administrative and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). • Experience with large databases an asset. • Good understanding of Canadian and international film industries. • Quick thinker, good judgment and excellent multi-tasker. • Exceptional computer skills, with significant experience with Microsoft Office Suite (word and excel) • Knowledge of other languages a definite asset. • Ability to work well under pressure • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
