The Canadian Opera Company's Opera Connect concludes its inaugural season with a transatlantic discussion about Richard Strauss’ groundbreaking opera Salome. CBC Radio's Brent Bambury is joined by celebrated Canadian filmmaker and Salome director Atom Egoyan, as well as Norwegian stage director Stefan Herheim via video-link from Oslo. The two directors share their approaches to this storied, erotic opera which shocked audiences and critics at its premiere. FREE tickets will be distributed at the door one half hour before the event on a first-come, first-served basis.
