Michelle Anne Olsen
Michelle Anne Olsen's first love is cinema. She prides herself in having seen every single Disney movie ever made. When she found out that she had been awarded the Sid Adilman Mentorship Programme internship and a TIFF press pass, she did a happy dance.
More professionally, Michelle is a fourth-year journalism student at Carleton University's School of Journalism and Communication. She has been taking to the streets of Ottawa's arts community with her notepad and pencil for three years, most notably reporting on the struggles of Ottawa's historic Mayfair theatre to avoid closure, for Carleton's independent newspaper, the Charlatan. She also interned in 2008 at the National Post, writing for their Arts & Life section, and will help organize this year's Ottawa International Animation Festival.
