More flashbacks! And the days posts do skew to being an Argento love-fest, but good-god-damn - the world PREMIERE of THE MOTHER OF TEARS is tomorrow night!!!

In 1990 Midnight Madness programmer Noah Cowan was able to host, for possibily for the first North American festival appearance, Dario Argento who was presenting two films, Michele Soavi's THE CHURCH and his team-up with George Romero, TWO EVIL EYES. I love the Italian title for that one, Due occhi diabolici!

For me there are a of familiar faces who still attend MM like Dave Kinear who ran Outer Limits, a super cool cult video store that was pre-Suspect, James Cavaluzzo from the band Malhavoc, journalist Liisa Ladouceur, and Bill Imperial who I met in the line up in 1988 who now works with Canadian doc-ster Ron Mann. Its so great to get this to mark the triumphant return of Argento to MM.
