BUBBA'S BOYS:
Director Don Coscarelli, Colin Geddes & Bruce Campbell

Sad news on the wire over the past week. Sounds like BUBBA NOSFERATU will not see the light of day... For the gossipy details, head over to Twitch for the details.

But to get you through these dark times, we have gotten in an email from the director of BUBBA HO-TEP (and of course, PHANTASM), Don Coscarelli, with a memory of the night that he screened his film along with cult actor Bruce Campbell:

Midnight Madness 2002 was a terrific launching pad for my film BUBBA HO-TEP. What a terrific slate of movies to be in, including classics-to-be such as The Eye and Cabin Fever. In addition to the thrill of playing to the packed Uptown theater, it was immensely gratifying to have the support of the local and national Canadian press and also Toronto?s own, Rue Morgue magazine. Imagine how cool it was to be interviewed in the Royal Ontario Museum, by Space TV no less, among actual ancient sarcophagi and real Egyptian mummies!  Based on how well my film was received, I believe that instead of the mummy?s curse, Bubba Ho-tep received the mummy?s blessing!

And to relive that phantabulous night, I have posted some clippage up on youtube for your enjoyment:
